At the sight of a lovely being,
I find myself
in consternation,
unsure if I've ever truly loved.
And upon realizing such
I equate my dismay
to the equal discomfort
that I may have never loved myself;
not my appearance,
my standing,
depth or ability,
but my nature
and true being.
